Lockdown Rugged-End Pants
Kids outgrow their clothes real quick which is great when you have more than one child coz the best kept clothes are handed down like prized possessions.
These not just look good but are also comfy since they take off the stitches that restrict the ends of the jeans from stretching.
Getting "one inch more" isn't a struggle at all unless, like me, you decide to do all the jeans, jeggings and corduroys in a day.😖
All you need:
- time
- glasses 🧐 if you can't see well without them
- scissors (or a blade, if you are brave enough to use it)
- an iron (to iron out the folds that will be opened up)
Simply focus on the stitches at the end of the jeans.
1. Begin by cutting each of the stitches on the outside very gently so that only the thread is cut and not the fabric.
2. Once about three-five stitches have been cut, you can use the scissors to gently pull apart the joints so they reveal further stitches that can be cut further.
3. Continue doing this very carefully making sure that the fabric and the main joints that hold the structure of the jeans stays intact.
4. Once done, pull out the loose threads.
5. Iron the folds and the jeans are ready to be worn...longer!
Looks cool, right?! We're calling them the 'Rugged End Pants.'
I'm going getting one for myself too!
