No Poo Dare - Week 4 - Is there going to be more?

It's been more than four weeks since my No Poo Dare.  After a tensed Week 1, a kaput Week 2 and a hopeful Week 3, I can bravely say that I dared it! It's a month and a half now, and I've given enough time to test whether this works for me or not. After the glimmer of hope from Week 3 onwards, I decided to go back to baking soda and Apple Cider Vinegar and see how different it would be this time. So, about three honey washes later, I was back to using Baking Soda and Vinegar.

This time, it wasn't as disappointing as the first. I used just half a tsp of Baking Soda considering the water we get here is hard and about a tbsp of Vinegar. Diluted the baking soda in hot water before putting it in my hair. During the wash, I could feel the stickiness of my oily scalp all over! I never expected my scalp to produce that much oil! Coz I always thought I had really dry hair. After the wash, my hair felt soft. Soft and nice. I probably shouldn't have gone cold turkey on my shampoo...so I'm going to share my learnings of my No Poo Dare in one of the following posts.

Am I going to continue going No Poo? I won't say that it's been a bad experience. I find myself touching my hair, feeling it's softness and that's a good sign. But I don't see the bounce I used to have. I am tempted to continue...I've got a wedding to attend in the next few days and if I'm not able to quickly style my hair like I used to, I'm going to call it a day. I don't go for fancy, detailed styling with my hair. My style is quick, simple, yet beautiful. And finally, that's what you want of your hair, isn't it? For now, here's how my hair behaved a month and a half after going No Poo!
