Why all the fuss with 'fair and lovely'

Why all the stress on 'bright and beautiful'

If I am dark, am I not pretty?

If I am brown, am I not attractive?

I refute this belief of 'fair is successful'

I reject the thoughts that scream 'lighter is better'
