The Nursing Bra quest

A few months into my pregnancy, I went ‘searching’ for nursing bras. Searching and not shopping. Because I realized how difficult it was to find a well-fitted nursing bra. There are a lot of lingerie outlets around, but I was looking for something that would meet the following:
- good fit
- good quality: fabric
- good looks
- the hooks! I don’t favour the Velcro too much and prefer the lock in hooks.
Most of what I found looked okey, the best of which is below:

This one looked more like a boat when I tried it on…with the ends sticking outwardly on both sides near my arm. Besides, the hook behind was too thick…three hooks!

I finally decided to try Mothercare. I knew it was more expensive than others, but here’s what makes it worth it.

- the trail rooms have this ‘bra-fitting guide’ that helps you understand whether
you are picking the right stuff. Here’s a snapshot:

You can find the detailed version by clicking here.
- they have the variety! In addition to the normal nursing bras, they had ‘nursing sleep bras,’ for those who like to splurge.
- the bras here definitely had the looks. Look at some of what I picked:

- they met my good fit, good quality and good looks and good hooks ;) criteria.

So there. Just because you have to feed your baby, doesn’t mean you have to put up with whatever is available, especially one of those plain looking, ill-fitted bras that eventually make your breasts sag :(
Make a choice to look good even when you are pregnant. Beginning from the inside :) Happy nursing!
