What's going in my hospital bag
I had this one written down a few days before my little blossom was born...
The day is almost here. I just don’t know which day is it going to be. Will it be a beautiful bundle of pink or a fascinating bundle of blue?
I’ve kind of picked ‘pink’ just because I love my baby girls and am steering towards another one to gang up with. If it’s a boy? Well, good. Then there’s no much thinking, picking or choosing to be done...wink wink ;)

So here’s whats coming with me to the hospital:
1. First and foremost, a list of all our family and friends who asked to be informed once we are on our way :) Thank God for loved ones <3
2. A camera or cell phone for the most priceless first pics of our bundle of joy. Not forgetting the charger :)
3. A come-home dress for me. I’ve also added a pair of loose tracks and a tee. I don’t know if I’m going to be more comfortable in a dress or a tee and track, so I’m taking both. I’d actually suggest a nice loose dress with a bright print and a front opening to feed the baby.
4. Comfortable footwear. Now, I will obviously be wearing something comfortable to go to the hospital, but a pair of bathroom slippers/ flip flops is what I’d need in the room.
5. An extra set of undergarments, for three days at least, just in case. Large sanitary napkins, though the hospital will be providing these.
6. Toiletries. Not the shampoo or conditioner (unless you haven’t washed your hair in days), but definitely the toothbrush & toothpaste, moisturizer/ body oil, a scented soap if you’d like, hair comb/ brush, a hair band and a compact mirror. I would probably throw in my kajal too… Oh! and wipes, for you and your baby.
7. You might want to take your own towel.
8. A nursing cover comes handy if you are going to stay at the hospital for more than a day or have people coming over to visit you at the hospital. This is optional though, considering that your guests can wait until your baby is fed.
Baby stuff: The hospital generally provides the primary baby stuff, but here’s what I’m packing:
9. A come-home outfit for the baby. I’ve picked a pink and blue. So it’s not a hassle in case of a boy or girl. Also added is a cute pair of socks gifted to my little bun by my mom.
10. A baby blanket to wrap the baby. My sister gave me a lovely white crochet blanket which is soft and light and perfect.
11. A baby cap, a soft, woollen or cotton. A beanie would be ideal <3

12. Last, but not the least, personal documents for identity verification as well as the pregnancy file.
At the end of your packing, make sure you don’t have a huge suitcase your husband would have to lug around. The lighter the bag, the easier it will be on the both of you. So try to pack in only what you think you’d need and simply leave out the rest. After all, what’s important is relaxing, enjoying the moments and being with one another.
