How thin is beautiful?

It's been seven months since my third baby's birth. My weight is gone to almost what it was when I got married ten years ago - 43 kgs!!! Although people around me think it's wonderful that I've 'maintained' my body and 'stay in shape' the truth is I'm struggling to put on some weight coz though I lose weight really quick, putting on is a task, which I know is good :)  I'm not bragging about my body...I think I should ideally weight around 48-50 kgs. A severe viral infection left me grossly underweight since February. I did start exercising after my delivery but that was mainly crunches for toning my stomach muscles when I did about 40 crunches three to four times a week for about a month and a half. Though I wish I could continue, I haven't found much time for it...rather, I haven't found much energy for it. And I personally think, it's more important to stay healthy than stay thin...looking presentable is the key and from experience I'd say it's as challenging for an underweight person to look presentable as is for someone overweight.

Here's what I came across and was thinking about how important it is not just for us to look presentable as mothers, but also how vital is what our girls see themselves. They will be exposed to the world unless you keep them locked up which is insane.  As parents we need to tell them that true beauty lies within themselves and how they wear their heart. We need to be mindful of what we say to them regarding how they look especially in a world where appearance means so much. Let them be stylish, even fashionable. But teach them the importance of being healthy, of having a clean heart and a pure spirit as in Psalm 51:10 - Create in me a pure heart O God and renew a right spirit within me.
