Men and their big fat wallets - Did you know?
Dear Men,
A fat wallet tucked in your shirt pocket or still worse in your pant pocket is NOT attractive. Moreover, it can be a real pain in your butt...seriously...it's called Piriformis Syndrome. Go check here.
It's also called 'wallet sciatica (pronounced sai-AT-ti-ka)' or 'fat wallet syndrome.'
Now, if you are one of the majority of those men who carry your well-stuffed wallet in your back pocket, you don't want to miss reading this. And, it would be nice if you could be a little caring and share this with your friends. I know it's a lot to ask for from a man, but I also know that there are a lot of caring men out there :)
Back to theory. See, when you put that fat wallet in your pocket, you don't really think about how it affects you while you are at work, sitting for probably hours in front of your laptop or maybe attending meeting after meeting or even driving. I'd suggest wear your pajamas and keep your wallet on a chair or a hard surface and try sitting on it for about five minutes. How comfortable would you feel? Yet, day in and day out, that's exactly what you are doing-compressing your nerve roots. That wallet bump can trigger not just your back pain but also your hip, shoulders and feet aches. Want to know details, check out the Wikipedia link mentioned before.
So what do you do? Empty your entire wallet!
A good idea would be to weed off all the junk and unwanted, unused, unimportant stuff from your wallet.
Consider how much cash you really want to carry...you might want to consider a money clip/money clamp if you'd like. Just so you know, a money clip is used to store your cash and cards in a compact way so you don't really need to carry your wallet. Doesn't really replace the wallet coz there's so much more that a wallet can hold.
A photograph of your family/kids/wife, etc...they say a wallet with a photograph of a kid in it has a higher chance of being returned when robbed.
Your IDs.
Your credit/debit cards.
Your membership/shopping/discount cards.
A couple of your personal visiting cards. And the most important business cards. Though again, a visiting card holder would do the job much better and save you sooo much space!
Coins. Keep them out. They not only disfigure your wallet but also add to the space and considerably contribute to the weight.
So there. You might find that though you have slimmed down your wallet, it doesn't look as good.
That's because of all the stretching and impressing it has been through. But there's good news...if you are considering a NEW wallet...guess what??? Shopclues is offering a whole lot of discounts on various men's wallets and stuff you just read about. You might want to swing by. Until the next time, you can be sure the 'bumps' in your life are going to be far lesser than they used to be :)
