Monday Morning Motivation - ONE of the consequences of loving God.

And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore. (Hebrews 11:12)

God had promised Abram, 'I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies.'

What if you were in the shoes of Abram? You are 99 running on 100 and your wife is 90 running on 91. God says a son is going to be born of Sarai. Not through anyone else, but most assuredly through Sarai. In fact, God is so certain of His promise, that He even had them change their names to the destiny that He had prepared for them. Not just Abram, father of many; but Abraham, father of many nations. And not just Sarai, a princess over a family; but Sarah, The Princess over a multitude. 

Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?” Think for a moment-how would you have reacted if God had to tell you He had something as phenomenal as this planned for you?

We all know what happened after that. If you don't, you have an opportunity to look up Genesis 17 which talks about this, ask and experience God's revelations for yourself.

My point is this. Do you love God? Coz if you do, here's something really small for you. "Small" since it's just ONE of the many hundreds of promises God has for you. 1 Corinthians 2:9 says, 'What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" - such are the things God has prepared for those who love Him.' 

Listen, God has already prepared your future for you. And it is this - that when people behold, they are going to be stumped; when people hear about it, they are going to be left in disbelief; they are going to be saying, "I could have never imagined that (your name here) would be capable of THIS!"

Are you smirking? Is there a thick streak of disbelief in your heart? Are you, like Abraham, laughing in your heart??? God is serious about His promises for you. Are you ready to receive them? Abram changed his name in preparation to receive his blessing. You better begin behaving like a victor, coz great things are coming your way! In the glorious Name of Jesus!!!
